A special case of complementarity is demonstrated with the aid of the “Double slit” simulation program. By switching on the lamp, the position can be measured directly after the electron has passed through the slit. Measuring the position means that the interference pattern no longer appears on the screen.
In a further experiment, it is shown that when the light intensity of the lamp is continuously reduced, the interference pattern gradually becomes visible again on the screen.
